It was pouring with rain, and we were running out of things to do around Kununurra, so we visit the Hoochery. They make rum and various liquiors here. They also make beautiful rum cake, which was devoured in seconds!! Delicious - Cheers!

Keep River NP Northern Territory

Yep - we crossed the border - well just for the day! We visit Keep River National Park. Do a little bit of bush walking, but its pretty hot and our motivation is low!

Amy is hiding in an Aboriginal Hawk catcher. They would light a fire to attract the hawk, stick feathers up out of the middle like bait and pull the hawk down by its claws to catch it!

MANGO HARVEST!! We get together with the Hadfields and Nikki Alexander and pick some of the mangos down at "swim beach". Funnily named "swim beach" when there are crocs of both varieties in there. Not really a great place to swim. But a great place to harvest mangos!! Cindy checks with the council and you have permission to pick mangos off public trees!! Nikki borrows a "mango picker" which helps us get the high ones. Or you can jump on the top of your ute like Tim and grab them from there!

We have a look around a zebra rock place called STONECRAFT. They also do cafe food, and yummy cappucinos.

Jake and his mate Wesley Hadfield. He had a sleepover with Wes and his family. They watched movies and ate "chip buddies", went to the local pool and had a great time.

Sights around Wyndham.... Lauren likes to break the rules and sits on the Big Croc statue.

This Boab is suposed to be the biggest in Australia?? Not entirely sure about that one. This view is overlooking the Wyndham Jetty.

And this house? HMM? Its sitting on pallets to keep it off the ground?

A day at Wyndham

Here we are at the Croc Farm at Wyndham, which is 101ks from Kununurra. The croc farm is fairly run down, and very casual. We turn up and the guy at the desk says he' not doing tours today cause he's done his leg in! Okay says I,"how much for the "no tour" tour"

Was $48 reduced to $30. Bargin!

Then we are 1/2 way round the park when another fulla comes up to us and tells us he is going to do the croc feed tour! Bonus.

The croc enclosures were green with slime and some pens seemed fairly small for the old dinosaurs.

Some of the salties were starving and made for an entertaining feed time, others could care less and barely moved in the heat of the day. Don't blame them really. Its HOT.
