Winton QLD

We stop in Winton on our way to Longreach. It is the place where Banjo Patterson penned Waltzing Matilda and now the home of the musical fence! The kids have a bash and it sounds as bad as it looks!!

From CHARTERS TOWERS TO HUGHENDEN QLD

We travel from Townsville along to Charters Towers, to Hughenden - where we get a coffee at the FJ Holden Cafe and get a photo with "Mutt" the dinosaur!

The photos are NOT great but when we go shopping in Townsville we see Shelley Craft - from Funniest Home Videos and The Block - at Castle Towers shopping centre. We also see our friends from Tully here too! Helen and Erika are spotted in Target (Graham and Rachel are in there somewhere!).

Townsville QLD

When we visit THE STRAND along the foreshore at Townsville we discover a sculpture exhibition which ran the whole way. We can also see Magnetic Island from here. Very nice!

Murray Falls - Murray Upper near Tully QLD

Murray Falls is beautiful and we saw so many Ulysiss butterflys here. Tim and kids try to float down the river on a tractor tyre tube but there isn't enough current and Tim has to walk back to Zane and Jo's house 6ks away to get the ute and pick the kids up!! Nothing like a bit of exercise?!

More kayaking on Mission Beach. The day Steve helped Tim go for a raft was really rough so Tim had to wear a life jacket just in case. Tim also helped Amy build a gigantic sand castle!
