Our time in Katherine is at an end. We have attended Katherine Christian Convention, where many of the Aboriginal communities get together at Morrow Farm to sing, worship and have talks, whilst camping over the May Day long weekend. I find Mrs Millar there with Macca the dog. Mrs Millar writes "Mrs Millars Frogs" and we met her in Derby last year, so it was a surprise to see her there.
The girls attended Girl Guides just in time for Mothers Day - and their chocolate/card making session.
We have been staying and working for Matt and Lucy Schepisi here in Katherine. We took them out for chinese in town to say thanks for having us! And all got together in the bathtub of the job that Tim did for them for a final photo.

A welcome ceremony by the local tribe at Katherine Gorge.

We finally see John Williamson perform at a Ghan Anzac Tribute at Katherine Gorge. The local tribe do a welcome ceremony for all the visitors who have come today. A great time.

We enjoy a lookout walk at Katherine Gorge on Anzac Day. We have come to see John Williamson except that the Katherine Newspaper put the wrong date in and he is coming tomorrow!!
And there is one photo here of us using Matt and Lucy's dunny as a coffee table! Eeewww. Also good as a foot rest and a extra chair at our table.

For Jakes Birthday dinner we go out to the local rissole (RSL) for tea. Delicious. Then it was Easter and we celebrate with our friends in Katherine - the Gillespies - with a Bilby Hunt!!! MMMM

Jakes 11th Birthday - Katherine - NT

Jake's birthday was held at the Katherine skate park with the Gillespie Family coming along to help us celebrate it. Samuel, James, Lilly and Breanna get in on the fun and make it a wonderful day.
I didn't have an oven for this cake, but thanks to Woolies and the internet I was able to grant Jakes request for a "scooter" cake! We now have HEAPS of lollies left over, but no one is complaining!
Happy Birthday Jake!

Tim and I take a flight with Kakadu Air to see Jim Jim and Twin Falls which are inaccessible at the moment on the ground due to the flooded roads. Really awesome, but the flight was uncomfortable, and made me feel a bit "green" around the gills!!
