We have arrived at Emma Gorge, the first walk we do on our camping trip back on the other end of the Gibb River Road.
Emma Gorge has a lovely reception area, with bar and restaurant and a pool! Hardly what you would expect for this "remote frontier!" So before we head off on our walk we have cappucinos on the deck - contemplating a swim in the pool when we come out.
The gorge walk has a couple of swimming holes as it turns out and the kids enjoy jumping off rocks into the water of turquoise pool.
Lauren even stays still long enough for this dragon fly to land on her big toe!
